The Wound

This house exists because a city refused to let it die, and it won a throne in February 2010 that meant more than football — New Orleans four years after the water, holding something up.

The wound came later, and it is specific: January 2019, a conference championship at home, and an official simply did not call the most obvious penalty in the sport’s recent memory. The realm changed a rule because of it. This house has never received an apology worth the name.

The Lord

Tyler Shough, in his second season, on a house at six wins. Unproven, unheralded, and holding the job because the long era ended and nothing has replaced it yet.

The Knights

  • Travis Etienne Jr. — arrived this spring to give the young lord something to lean on.

Ancient Grudges

  • House Falcons. Regional, genuine, and older than most of the current bannermen.
  • House Rams. Not ancient. Just unresolved, and it will never not be.

What Changed This Spring

Etienne in, and not much else. This house is between eras and behaving like it — no large bets, no declarations, a quiet year while the money recovers.

Prophecy

Little, and stated quietly. This city is good at waiting.
