The Wound
Thirteen championships, more than any house in the realm. A stadium that is a place of pilgrimage. And the bannermen literally own the team — no lord above them, no owner to hate. It is the most beloved arrangement in the sport.
The wound is what they have done with two of the greatest quarterbacks who ever lived. Twenty-nine consecutive seasons with a Hall of Fame lord under centre, and one throne to show for it, in February 2011. The realm considers this among the great wastes in the history of the sport, and Green Bay is quietly aware.
